Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of cakes do you offer?
    We make the basics (white, yellow, chocolate, and marble), as well as carrot cake, chocolate cherry indulgence, and German chocolate.

Can you add different flavors to your cakes?
    Yes, we can add an almond flavor, amaretto, or other special requests.

Do you offer fillings?
    We have a variety of different fillings. We have raspberry, strawberry, vanilla custard, chocolate mousse, fudge, lemon, cherry, strawberry creme, cherry creme, lemon creme, banana custard, coffee, and other special requests.

Can you make shaped cakes?
    Yes.  A strawberry, castle, and many others.

Can you copy photos onto cakes?
    Yes. You may bring in a picture that we can scan onto edible paper and put that on the cake. Of course, we will decorate around it.

What other designs can you do?
    We specialize in custom hand drawings and piped items. We also have figures and edible images available.

What kind of icing do you offer? Can you make any color that I want?
    Our buttercream icing is the most popular and is made here from scratch. The buttercream icing is white, however we can add food coloring to make it almost any color. If you bring in a swatch of the color we will be able to perfectly (or almost perfectly) match the icing. We also offer whipped cream, milk chocolate, and fudge icing.

What else do you make besides cake?
    We make cookies, cheesecakes, gooey butters (a St. Louis tradition), brownies, chewies, and a plethora of other items.

Are you peanut free?
    Yes, Susie G's Specialty Cakes is a peanut free establishment.

Do you offer anything for people with other allergies (tree nuts, milk, egg)?
    We offer many items that are tree nut free. We also make egg free cookies and we can decorate those the same as our regular cookies we make for our store. Since we do have tree nuts and eggs in our store, we cannot guarantee that there will be no contamination.

Do you accept credit cards?
    Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
